                                                          How to renew your Richmond ID
  1. In person appointments are now open to the public by appointment only. Click the appropriate appointment link below to schedule an in person or online appointment via Zoom to renew your Richmond ID or click the self renewal button above to initiate the renewal process for your Richmond ID. 

  2. On your appointment date you will be required to present your expired Richmond City ID 

  3. Present a current proof of address in the City of Richmond from the approved list of acceptable documents. See the REQUIREMENTS page for the complete list. Please make sure your name is listed in the proof of address document. If you are using a proof of address document in the name of your spouse, parent or legal guardian, a legal document establishing the familial relationship is required at time of renewal (marriage certificate, birth certificate, adoption/legal guardianship documents, declaration of domestic
    partnership)

  4. Pay the renewal fee: 
                                         Adults 18+      $25.00
                                         Seniors 65+    $15.00
                                         Minors 17-      $15.00

  5. ​Credit, Debit, Prepaid (showing the Visa or Mastercard logo) card payments and cash payments can be processed at the time of your appointment. NO personal checks are accepted.

  6. Your new Richmond ID card will be mailed to your home address

  1. Las citas en persona estan abiertas al público por cita solamente. Para renovar su Richmond ID presione el botón de autorenovación para llenar su solicitud de renovación del Richmond ID usted mismo; o si prefiere navegue a la parte inferior de la página para programar una cita en persona or en línea a travéz de Zoom.

  2. El día de su cita deberá presentar su Richmond ID vencido. 

  3. Deberá presentar un comprobante vigente de su domicilio en la ciudad de Richmond del listado de documentos aprobados como prueba de domicilio. Para ver el listado completo de documentos aceptables navegue a la página REQUISITOS. Asegurese que su nombre este incluido en su comprobante de domicilio. Si esta utilizando un documento a nombre de su esposa/o, padres o guardian legal, deberá presentar un documento legal que compruebe la relación familiar (certificado de matrimonio, certificado de nacimiento, documentacion de adopción o tutela legal, declaracion de asociacion doméstica)

  4. ​Cancele el costo de renovación:
                                                             Adultos 18+              $25.00
                                                             Adulto Mayor 65+   $15.00 
                                                             Menor de edad 17-  $15.00

  5. Pagos con tarjeta de crédito, débito, prepago (con el emblema de Visa o Mastercard) o efectivo seran procesados durante su cita.  NO se aceptan pagos con cheques personales.
